WFMW-Works For Me Wednesday

Works For Me Wednesday

This is my premier WFMW post, and I am VERY excited!

My easiest organization tip is to color code your lists.  I am a spiral notebook fiend. I have stacks of these lovely wonders hidden in my closet. Whenever there is a 10 for $1 sale, I'm on it!  Initially, I used a different color for each of my clients, but now, I use them for my family life, too.

For instance, my master list is in the black spiral. In here, the first page is my Daily To Do. This is where I write all of my daily goals (1.  Grocery shop  2.  Get Matt to soccer practice  3.  Take Emily to dance  4. Run the dishwasher  5. Start the crock pot at 2:00)  The back of the very last page is my Weekly To Do. This is where I write the goals for the week (1. Tame the desk mess in my office step by step  2.  Polish the silver  3.  Schedule the dentist appointment  4.  Take the car for an oil change).  This way, all of what I need is in one handy spot.  Every night, I spend 5 minutes writing everything for the next day, in the list where it belongs. Every night, I rip out the front page. Every Sunday, I spend 15 minutes organizing my week.  I rip out the back page and start anew!  It's EASY organization, and works very well.

I also have a food spiral. My grocery and weekly menus are in the yellow spiral. I plan the menus on Thursday, and make sure I have all the groceries needed. If not, I write it on my list, rip it out, and go! Whenever I see a recipe I want to try, I put it in the middle of the spiral.

It works for me!
