Let me be honest for a second

Several days ago, my friend, Pattie, said that she uses bags to organize. I decided to borrow that from her. It's working GREAT so far!

Each of the kids has a dance bag. Emily uses a bag with several pockets, that I got as a speaker at a covention several years ago. She has an area for her jazz shoes, her ballet shoes, her tap shoes, poms, another for ribbons, pins and elastic for her hair, one for her pointe shoes, ribbons and elastic and her box for her toe pads, and one to hold her water bottle and coin purse. Matt has a little tote bag for his tap shoes and hip hop shoes and a little sweat towel.  Mikey doesn't have a bag yet, but I'm sure he'll insist on one now that he has tap shoes!

We also have library bags. They stay in my office. We plan to go to the library every time they finish reading their books. We're also determined to read a book from different countries all through the summer, and to fix a meal from each of the countries. Which means, this week, we're eating from Greece, Spain, France and England!

We have an Amusement Park bag. This is a smallish bright pink backpack that we take when we go to Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun. We always have it packed with our passes, sanitizing gel, sunscreen and change for drinks. We add our wallets and keys as needed. The water bottles that give us discounted drinks are also kept in a bag in the pantry.

We have our reusable grocery bags, too. We always have them in the cars, in case we make an emergency stop while we're out and about. We just don't use the plastic bags anymore. My husband's WEBELOS den had to pick up plenty of them when they worked to earn an environental badge.

I'm sure we'll find many other ways to organize in bags. We're feeling much more organized since implementing the use of them.  Thanks, Pattie!
