BLT Pasta Salad
Who doesn't like BLT sandwiches and pasta salad? Both are summer staples! I've combined the ingredients into a yummy salad that's a delicious side dish or a light lunch. Make a big batch!
This will serve about 12 sides of salad.
Ingredients
1/2 package bacon fried and crumbled
1/2 bag salad (I use the lettuce, carrots, cabbage mix)
1 tomato diced (use fresh...the canned doesn't taste as yummy)
12-16 oz pasta boiled (I mix tri colored rotini with small elbow macaroni). I add oregeno and garlic to the water
12 oz CREAMY Italian dressing (use creamy for a cool, delicious texture)
In a large salad bowl, mix bacon, lettuce and tomato with half the dressing.
Rinse pasta in cold water until it regains firmness.
Add pasta to the salad bowl.
Mix with BLT mixture.
Add remaining dressing. Stir thoroughly.
Chill for 45 minutes or longer.

This sounds really good. I never actually liked pasta salad until recently. I went shopping and was going through all my coupons and I found one for pasta salad, so I bought some (my husband likes it). I decided to try it and it was surprisingly good. I can't remember the brand name, but I will try making this to see if I like it. Thanks!

I remain loyal to Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert in music and to Shakespeare and Jane Austen in literature.

I found one had to do some work every day, even at midnight, because either you're professional or you're not.
